The famous members of dinosaur family

Dinosaurs were a successful group of animals that emerged between 240 million and 230 million years ago and came to rule the world until about 66 million years ago when a giant asteroid slammed into Earth. They evolved from a group of mostly dog and horse-size creatures into the most enormous beasts that ever existed on land. Some meat-eating dinosaurs shrank over time and evolved into birds. So, in that sense, only the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct. Here, 'dinosaurs' will refer only to non-avian dinosaurs.

Some of the earliest dinosaurs included small, bipedal creatures. These early dinosaurs shared the landscape with other reptiles and early mammal relatives. The dinosaurs continued to diversify and dominate terrestrial ecosystems during the Jurassic. The Cretaceous saw further diversification and specialization of dinosaurs.

Hundreds of dinosaur species evolved throughout the Mesozoic Era. Some are more famous than others. Like animals today, some famous dinosaurs would win a popularity contest against others. These famous dinosaurs are renowned for various attributes such as their size, the nature of their fossil, or even how they were discovered. Some dinosaurs are also notable because they are the biggest or smallest in their family or even because they have unique features not seen in any other dinosaur groups. Dinosaur popularity may also depend on how often they are depicted in movies or other cultural materials and their significance to scientific research. It is hard to talk about dinosaurs without mentioning these iconic dinosaur species. Regardless of the reasons for their popularity, a dinosaur enthusiast probably heard of the dinosaurs in the following articles at some point in the past.

Let’s meet the most famous ones. From the very last of the list, it is-
